SyuRo Decorative Rectangular Tin Box (S / L)

A handcrafted rectangular tin box made at SyuRo's studio in Torigoe, Tokyo — the historic craftsmen's quarter of old Edo. Skilled artisans cut, bend, and shape each piece of tinplate by hand, tucking every seam without soldering. The surface is brushed during production for a tactile matte texture that resists fingerprints and minor scratches.

Ideal for storing tea, coffee beans, stationery, jewellery, or any small everyday objects. Over time the metal will oxidise and develop a natural antique patina — deepened further by the oils of bare hands. A lid is included. Not intended for refrigerator use.

Care Instructions & Usage Notes

• Air-dry Thoroughly: Joints are prone to rust if exposed to moisture. After washing, wipe immediately with a dry cloth and allow it to dry completely in the air.

• Storage: This container is not hermetically sealed. For items sensitive to humidity, please use a desiccant.

• Avoid Refrigeration: Do not place the container in a refrigerator, as condensation will cause rust and damage the metal.

• Natural Patina: Natural skin oils protect the surface from stains while adding luster and depth over time. Handling the container with bare hands enhances its evolving beauty.

• Handling: Handle with care, paying particular attention to the trimmed edges.
