Saeam Kwon Gaiwan Tall Beige 90ml

This refined, hand-thrown Gaiwan is crafted by Berlin-based Korean ceramic artist Saeam Kwon. Combining minimalist design with traditional East Asian tea vessel proportions, each piece is individually thrown on the potter's wheel using a rough, dark German stoneware clay. The vessel features a striking contrast between its raw, expressive exterior and a smooth, semi-glossy glaze applied strictly to the interior for optimal functionality. Fired twice up to 1250 °C in an electric kiln, the dark clay vitrifies completely, ensuring a dense, food-safe, and highly tactile surface that highlights the unique, organic character of hand-built ceramics.
